The Role
We are seeking a Junior Motion Graphics Designer to join our dynamic and creative team. You’ll bring real-world expertise in Adobe After Effects and a razor-sharp eye for detail, ready to dive in and get started. Reporting to a senior team member, you’ll be involved in:
- Adapting and reformatting existing project files across social media specifications
- Creating beautiful and dynamic animations, from social media paid posts, to animated artwork and full-length trailers
- Proofreading all designs to ensure error-free, consistent and format-ready outputs
- Collaborating with team members and clients to ensure design objectives are met
- Maintaining project timelines and deliverables within deadlines
- Staying updated with motion graphics design trends and bringing new ideas to the team
You’ll work directly with a variety of wonderful clients including high-end theatre productions, virtual experiences, theatre festivals, and iconic experiences. This is a great opportunity to grow your skills while working on creative and impactful projects.
As a Junior Motion Graphics Designer, you’ll need to be passionate about animation and design, eager to bring your ideas to the table, and eager to receive feedback to help refine your craft. We’re looking for someone who can think and act independently, and you’ll be supported and mentored by our senior animators to perform at your best.
Skills and Requirements
- Real-life proficiency in Adobe After Effects, ready to hit the ground running
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, and InDesign
- Flawless written and spoken English
- A razor-sharp eye for detail, able to adhere to all design guidelines
- A second-to-none ability to proof your own work and that of others
- Proactive in seeking clarification or assistance when required
- Knowledge, confidence and problem-solving skills to adapt and refine static and animated files created by others
- Comfortable working with and modifying files created by others across Adobe suite.
- Ability to work efficiently under deadlines while staying organised and productive
- A solid understanding of what makes exceptional animation
- Ability to draw creative inspiration from unconventional sources
- A friendly, positive attitude with a can-do mindset
- Superb organisational skills and a ‘tidy mind’
- Eager to learn, develop, and refine skills for continuous improvement
Hours and Place of Work
- Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Location: Initially, you’ll work full-time from our office in Brockley (London SE4), just a 3-minute walk from Brockley Station. Once you’ve completed your probation and training, there is potential for a hybrid home/office working arrangement.
- We’ll provide all the tools and training you need to excel in your role.
