We are looking for an Account Director to join our fun and growing agency. Your duties will involve both managing relationships with clients and guiding account personnel.

In this role you’ll primarily work on one of our leading Football accounts, but with the potential to support the team across a number of our additional sports and entertainment clients.

Our Account directors play a critical role in the team as they coordinate and lead key accounts, internal resource, external suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure our client portfolio is managed professionally, and projects and campaigns are delivered to high standards.

This role will lead a retained client for TwelfthMan and we are the go-to creative agency for the association, working across all of their brands.

 

Who are you?

You have a great aptitude in building and maintaining customer relationships – and enjoy doing so. You possess excellent planning and leadership abilities to coordinate and advise account managers, supervisors and executives. You are motivated by retention of clientele and facilitate further growth within your portfolio.

 

Responsibilities

  • Plan budgets and client project / budget pipeline
  • Management of larger projects, working closely with project manager’s and wider design team
  • Ensure the timely delivery of services and products to clients
  • Resolve issues to maintain and strengthen customer trust
  • Identify organic growth opportunities
  • Escalation point for client issues or opportunities
  • Set up goals and objectives for all subordinate staff
  • Provide feedback and counsel to account staff to meet quotas/objectives
  • Understand customer requirements and needs to offer suitable solutions and generate new business
  • Support the commercial team with pitching and new business

 

Requirements and skills

  • Proven experience as an account director or similar position
  • Experience of working within a creative or production led agency
  • Demonstrable experience in negotiation and meeting client requirements
  • Ability to oversee multiple projects at the same time
  • Calm under pressure and excellent at prioritisation and managing your time
  • Solid understanding of budgeting and reporting on progress
  • Knowledge of performance evaluation techniques and metrics
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and/or relevant software (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with aptitude in fostering long-term relationships
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
