Position

We are looking for a creative, forward thinking and innovative individual to join our Art & Design team as a Senior Designer. As a key member of the Design team you will manage all design projects from concept to delivery, ensuring that the vision and creative ambition of the Company is achieved in all visual content across the Jamie Oliver Group. As a Senior Designer you will do this by shaping and producing innovative, on brand, creative design content and graphics for specific briefs across the whole Company, ensuring high quality deliverables.

You will utilise your creative flair to produce visual concepts and ideas that captivate and capture the Jamie Oliver brand identity. You will ensure that the brand is well represented across all platforms such as the Company website, internal newsletters, social media content and more.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing all design projects, from conception to delivery
  • Answering briefs and maintaining quality checks on all design projects within agreed timelines.
  • Work closely with the wider Design team, taking designs and artwork from conception through to completion.
  • Produce visual concepts and graphic designs across all of our brands
  • Confidently pitch and present creative ideas and provide solutions to stakeholders within the Company, to consistently drive the creativity of projects, then amending briefs based on feedback
  • Provide photographic art direction
  • Review and sign off on design work, photo retouching and selects made by the junior team members to ensure high quality
  • Attend meetings and creative sessions.
  • Line manage and act as a mentor to the junior team.
  • Create and produce original and fun motion graphics and animation covering video end cards, TV titles and social media content
  • Support the Creative Director and Senior Creative
  • To challenge, solve and deliver, exceeding all expectations.

Requirements

  • Educated to degree level in graphic design or related field.
  • Advanced knowledge of all Adobe Creative Suite applications.
  • A minimum of 6+ years experience in the creative industry as a Senior Designer.
  • Solid understanding of visual elements (layout, typography and fonts).
  • You have strong graphic design and typography skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and good presentation skills.
  • Good organisational skills and a strong attention to detail is a must.
  • Some experience in either digital design (Responsive website design principles, Adobe XD, Figma, Email design and Wireframing etc.) or Motion graphics (After effects animation, dynamic typography and editing in Premiere etc.
  • A good understanding across all social platforms.
