About the role

We are growing and are looking for an experienced generalist graphic designer to help us develop visual identities and design websites and other collateral.

You will be joining a small team and will have the opportunity to contribute to all aspects of work at Bureau Bureau, including branding and web design projects, business development, administration, and strategic planning.

We’re looking for a self-motivated and proactive designer who thrives when working independently but is equally comfortable taking direction and collaborating within a team. We would like someone who can confidently lead projects, coordinate with clients and contractors, and deliver excellent work on time.

About Bureau Bureau

We develop and implement visual communication strategies for clients globally, with a focus on visual identity. We work with clients from many fields, but predominately with companies in tech, AI, and VCs.

Bureau Bureau was co-founded by Orestes Chouchoulas and Jacob Valvis in 2016. Both co-founders have a background in architecture and design education. We work partly from our office space in Somerset House and partly from home. You should be able to work productively remotely.

What you are bringing to the table:

• You are systematic and methodical and have a keen eye for detail.
• Strong understanding of typography and typesetting.
• Demonstrable experience in developing brand strategy.
• Demonstrable skill in designing clear and refined layouts for print and digital.
• Proficient user of Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Figma.
• At minimum four years’ commercial experience in branding design.
• At minimum two years’ experience in leading projects and working directly with clients.
• Good working knowledge of MacOS.

Bonus points for any of the following:

• Familiarity with principles of UX/UI design and HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
• Experience with (or interest in) using Webflow.
• Knowledge of video editing, animation, and motion design, and experience with Adobe Premiere and Adobe AfterEffects, or FinalCut Pro and Apple Motion.
• Experience in 3D modelling, animation, and rendering.
• Experience in using Notion, Slack.
