Overview

To join our experienced Retail and Hotel Team and work on a broad range of exciting projects from luxury retailers to high end hotels.

The Middleweight 3D will be a strong all-rounder with the ability to work well within a team. This role will focus on supporting the Senior 3D Creative team on specific projects on concept design, 3D visualisation, sourcing materials, creative presentations and detail drawing packages.


Key Responsibilities

  • Work together with the creative lead to develop concept designs in response to client or internal briefs.
  • Be able to manage time efficiently and work appropriately to reflect project programmes.
  • Produce conceptual sketches to describe and illustrate creative responses.
  • Production of schematic and technical detailed drawing package, including an understanding of relevant schedules and specifications.
  • Source/research materials or products to support responses.
  • Mentor and guide junior colleagues as appropriate.
  • Develop a good understanding of company protocol and internal working relations.
  • Build relationships with internal teams, clients, project managers and other consultants/suppliers.
  • Attend client and site meetings, taking notes and producing meeting minutes when required.
  • Fulfilling the role in compliance with company policies and procedures, for example (but not limited) ISO documentation and Information Security training.

 


Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Agency side interior design experience
  • Proven track record working as a Middleweight 3D and solid experience in Retail and Hotel design.
  • Experience with procedures and dealing professionally with project managers and other consultants (Quantity Surveyors / Structural Engineers, etc).
  • Must be able to sketch, produce 3D visualisation and have an understanding of detailed drawings.
  • Experience of putting together a presentation for internal and external use.
  • Experience in production of information package (eg finishes schedules, specification sheets, FF&E schedules, etc).
  • An inquisitive approach and a good feel for design, style, materials, colour, etc.
  • Good awareness of architecture/design world and current competitors.
  • Packages used in office : VectorWorks, Cinema 4D, InDesign, Photoshop and MS Office.
  • Articulate with good communication skills and a creative thinker with the ability to express an opinion or idea persuasively and confidently and be professional in communications with internal and external teams.
  • Proactive and a team player and enthusiastic with a can do attitude who enjoys a challenge.
  • Open and personable – able to listen, assimilate information, react and engage in open constructive discussion.
  • Self-motivated and interested in researching new materials / products.
