THE ROLE

 

 

The role will deliver digital video and publishing activities for Factual digital brands. A primary focus of this role will be managing the supply and publishing of digital content to digital channels (including YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat and web/CRM).

The role will also help deliver digital marketing campaigns for BBC Earth and support the commercial & licensing needs for the brand.

 

  • Planning and scheduling of video and ‘always on’ digital content across monetised video and social channels (e.g. TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram) using online publishing tools.
  • Archive rights checking and channel management of video assets, along with administration of metadata, annotations, and usage policies.
  • Curate and create reactive social content across the Unscripted genre digital channels including the sourcing/editing of video assets, where required, using programs such as Premiere Pro.
  • Produce copy that is optimised for specific platforms (Web, Social and CRM)
  • Manage communities and conversations on channels in-line with the agreed strategy and in the brand’s tone of voice.
  • Work closely with brand and production teams on the delivery and execution of campaigns.
  • Provide research to support a clear and compelling presentation of strategies and ideas to senior stakeholders.
  • Monitor performance of content assets, deriving insights from the data available to optimise and improve future asset creation.

WHAT DOES IT TAKE?

 

 

Key Criteria

 

  • Excellent understanding of social media and digital landscape, with experience running/publishing content on social media channels + community management
  • Proven ability in Photoshop, Premiere Pro experience beneficial
  •  Excellent copywriting and sub-editing skills, keen eye for detail
  • Experience of using analytics tools to inform data-driven decisions to make optimisation tweaks for social and AVOD content
  • Very strong visual eye – knows how to spot a premium IG reel for example, and understand what makes a good piece of content

  • Experience working to tight deadlines and managing key stakeholder relationships.
  • An ability to deliver at pace and anticipate deadlines.
  • Passion for TV, innovative digital brands and online publishers.
  • Good knowledge of the digital landscape and experience of online video and social platforms.
  • Willingness to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and to develop skills according to the changing needs of the business.

Salary: Up to £25,107 + London Weighting (£5,164) depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.
