THE ROLE

The Motion Designer for the EMEA region will be responsible for producing dynamic and high-quality motion graphics that support the creative team’s objectives. Working under the guidance of the Senior Designer/Heads of Creative, the Motion Designer will create engaging content for campaigns, social media, digital out-of-home advertising, and more. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional animation skills, a keen eye for detail, and a collaborative spirit, contributing to the production of world-class motion graphics that resonate with international audiences.

 

  • Motion Graphics Production: Develop and produce effective, insight/data-driven, high-quality motion graphics for various channels including digital, social, and out-of-home, ensuring all materials meet project specifications and channel brand guidelines.
  • Animation: Create engaging animations that bring static designs to life, enhancing the overall storytelling and visual impact.
  • Visual Consistency: Ensure all motion graphics are consistent with the brand’s visual identity and guidelines, maintaining high production standards.
  • Referencing, Storyboarding and Concept Development: : Assist in design referencing, develop storyboards and concepts for motion graphics projects, ensuring a clear narrative and visual flow.
  • Image Editing: Edit and retouch videos/images to enhance visual appeal and meet project requirements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Senior Designer and the creative team to brainstorm, develop, and execute innovative motion graphics solutions.
  • Software Proficiency: Utilize tools such as Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, and other motion design software to create compelling animations.
  • Project Delivery: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of all motion graphics materials within constraints.
  • Templating: Able to operate and create user-friendly design Essentials templates for designers and creatives.
  • Feedback Integration: Address feedback constructively, maintaining a solution-focused attitude and continually refining work to meet high standards.
  • Cultural Sensitivity: Ensure that creative work is editorially correct, culturally sensitive, and effective within the diverse territories of the EMEA region.
  • Critical Thinking and Sharing Expertise: Collaborate with the wider design/creative team, sharing expertise with junior members of the team.

 

WHAT DOES IT TAKE?

 

 

Key Criteria

 

  • Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of production processes and advanced skills in motion design software such as Adobe After Effects. Knowledge of Premiere Pro, Cinema4d and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Expert understanding of motion design, typography and layouts.
  • Creative Judgment: Ability to interpret briefs and marketing strategies, translating them into compelling visual solutions.
  • Time Management: Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

Desirables

  • Feedback Skills: Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback to improve overall creative output.
  • Social media: an understanding of the social landscape.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Experience in a motion designer role or similar position within a creative agency or design studio
  • Proven track record of producing high-quality design/motion design campaigns.
  • Experience working with international or culturally diverse audiences is a plus
