The role of Lead Graphic Designer is an exciting role within our busy Digital Marketing and Communications Department. The post-holder will be responsible for development and delivery of our graphic design and motion graphics function across a variety of different platforms, working in partnership with all Kent Union departments to provide students with the best experience.
The post-holder will line manage student staff designers and external freelancers as well as overseeing design spending and budgeting. The post-holder will join our existing Digital Marketing department and work on diverse projects and campaigns across a range of channels for both digital and print assets and lead on the branding of Kent Union.
This will include developing artwork and branding for a broad range of Kent Union services including student-facing support services such as student voice, our advice service, wellbeing and safety and Jobshop, as well as supporting central services with the creation of corporate materials.
The role will also create design work for our retail outlets which include a nightclub, student bar, coffee shop and clothing store, as well as large annual events such as Summer Ball, Varsity and Leadership Elections. The role will be central to developing and maintaining brand visuals under Kent Union’s commercial and non-commercial umbrella.
The role will also be implementing a new external design function as part of our SU Network and Luminary Marketing service to deliver design work for external clients to generate additional income for the organisation.
