ROLE 

  • Manipulate and edit film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience 
  • Take a brief to grasp production team’s needs and specifications 
  • Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity 
  • Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film 
  • Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects 
  • Create rough and final cuts 
  • Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running 
  • Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency. 
  • Respond to user feedback and client feedback to improve the creative work in future iterations 

 

 PROFILE 

  • Strong technical skills and proven ability to use a variety of software (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, 2D/3D animation, and Finalcut and Adobe Premiere pro ) 
  • The ability to partner with other creative team members to create content used across a variety of platforms (Youtube , Facebook , Instagram, TikTok ) 
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment and have strong project management skills 
  • Be a great communicator, receive and interpret feedback, and meet tight deadlines 
  • Proven work experience as a Video Editor and motion graphic designer 
  • Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. , Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut) 
  • Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio 
  • Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity 
  • Familiarity with special effects, 3D and compositing – 3D Blender knowledge considered a strong point 
  • Creative mind and storytelling skills
