Who we are

We’re forpeople, an independent creative agency, working globally from an old pickle factory in London and a former theatre in Amsterdam.

Our team of over 100 weaves together a diverse range of skills: from graphic, product, spatial and interaction design to moving image, writing, research and strategy.

Without knowing it, you’ve probably seen or experienced something we’ve had a hand in. Over the last 20 years, we’ve quietly shaped the future of some of the world’s most well-known brands as well as creating others you’ll soon get to discover.

Our work is wide-reaching, from defining brand visions to building identities and designing experiences. Yet everything we do is born from a simple philosophy – we feel, think and do for people.

About the job

Forpeople is on the lookout for a talented and passionate Vision Design Intern to join our dynamic team for a 6-month placement. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a creative and supportive environment, working on exciting projects that span insight, visual story telling, brand experience, CMF and design. Collaborating closely with our seasoned designers, you’ll assist with trend research, ideation, colour palette development, and material sourcing, for products, interiors and brand identities for some of the world’s biggest brands.

Who we’d like to find

Since 2004, we’ve grown from only four to over a hundred by finding the right people – people that don’t only slot right in to our studio culture, but bring something incredible to it.

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • A sharp eye for colour and materials, gained from either previous employment or a higher education course in textiles, future materials, fashion, bio-design or similar
  • Proficiency in digital design tools and software (Adobe Suite)
  • Good knowledge of visual research
  • Genuine passion for current trends and contemporary culture
  • Attention to detail and creative thinking
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Ability to integrate within a multi-disciplinary project team
  • The right to work in the UK

A typical day might include

  • Conducting market research into industry trends, fashion, culture, and consumer preferences
  • Creating compelling mood boards, visual displays, storyboards, and presentations to articulate and communicate visual design concepts and narratives
  • Sourcing new materials samples and surface finishes, and experimenting with prototyping and print testing
  • Research and sourcing of sustainable materials
  • Liaising with material suppliers to develop project specific applications
  • Developing and curating colour palettes, materials, and finishes
  • Contributing to the creation of new product, interior, experiential, and brand design solutions
  • Participating in creative workshops, research, and testing sessions
  • Collaborating closely with the creative team to generate fresh ideas for everyday challenges
  • Supporting the team with various design tasks, including jointly managing and organising the material library
  • Pitching in with general studio support tasks and activities whenever needed

What we offer

People mean the world to us. That includes looking after our own, with things like:

  • Global clients and world-class work
  • A competitive salary
  • A strong benefits package, reflecting both company and personal performance
  • Training, support and personal career development
  • A generous company pension
  • A unique, inspiring working environment filled with incredible, like-minded people
  • A flexible working pattern, with a minimum of 3 days in our London studio a week (up to 2 days remote)
